Travelling to ExCeL London

ExCeL London is located 10 minutes from Canary Wharf, in the heart of London's Royal Docks. There is easy access to the venue - with three onsite DLR (Docklands Light Railway) stations, easy access to London Underground (Jubilee Line - two stops on the DLR), parking for 3,700 cars and an international airport 5 minutes away.

By air

ExCeL London is easy to get to from London's five main airports - London City, Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton - via Docklands Light Railway (DLR), underground and mainline rail services.

By rail and underground

The Jubilee Line is recommended as the quickest route towards ExCeL and ICC London from Central London.Alight at Canning Town to change onto the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) bound for Beckton (use stairs, escalators or lift up to the DLR platform). DLR trains toward the venue normally depart from platform 3.

Visitors should be aware that only DLR trains in the direction of Beckton serve ExCeL London - do not use DLR services in the direction of Woolwich Arsenal from Canning Town.

Visitors to TechWorldare advised to alight at Prince Regent.

By bus

Public bus services 147 and 241 depart from bay B of Canning Town station to Custom House (access to the venue is via the DLR footbridge).

Additionally, a fully signposted walking route is provided from the main exit of Canning Town bus station for anyone who wishes to complete their journey to the venue by foot.Blue directional signs guide you to the main west entrance of ExCeL London. The walk takes approximately 12-15 minutes.

ExCeL London and ICC London are located in zone 3. London Underground tickets are valid on the DLR. It is recommended to purchase a return ticket or All-Day Travelcard to avoid queuing on your journey home.

Single, return and Travelcard tickets can be purchased from the ticket machines at Prince Regent Station. These machines are also enabled for Oystercard ‘Pay As You Go’ top up.

Oystercard users are reminded to touch in and out at the card readers at DLR stations to avoid paying excess fares.

By Eurostar

There is easy access to St Pancras International for high-speed Eurostar Services to Paris, Lille and Brussels.For further information please visit the Eurostar website.

By car

The venue is located outside the Congestion Charge Zone but is included in the Low Emission Zone. The Low Emission zone seeks to improve the air quality in the city by deterring the most polluting vehicles from driving in the area.

Cycling to ExCeL London?

We welcome those who choose to cycle to ExCeL and provide secure, CCTV monitored cycle parking racks both in our west entrance taxi drop off area and outside the main east entrance (subject to the area reopening in May 2010).

Parking

All onsite parking is pay and display, with the exception of the Royal Victoria multi-storey car park, which is located at the west end of the site. Parking in the Royal Victoria multi-storey car park can be paid for at one of the three pay points located within the car park at the end of your visit. The machines are located on level two and level zero and all machines accept both cash and credit card.

Parking charges across our on-site locations are as follows:

Up to 2 hours £5.00
Up to 6 hours £10.00
Up to 15 hours £15.00
Up to 24 hours £20.00

These tariffs are applicable for the following locations - Royal Victoria multi-storey car park, Undercroft parking (Orange and Purple) and East Car Park.Please note the multi-storey and undercroft areas only permit vehicles up to a maximum of 1.9 metres high.

Motorcycles can be parked free of charge in any of the above locations.

We also operate an additional tariffs for our lorry and coach park areas and these are charged as follows (costs based on 24 hour durations);

Transit size vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes) £15.00
7.5 tonnes and over size vehicles £30.00
Mini bus and coaches £20.00

As ExCeL London is a green venue all pay and display machines will be found on stand-by. However, the machine will activate as soon as you insert your card or cash.

ExCeL London offers 158 disabled parking spaces, located within close proximity of the venue. Spaces are available to blue badge holders only and badges must be displayed at all times.
