History of TechWorld

This is the premier event in the technology events calendar and its continuing success is due to UKTI’s ability to attract more international investors than at any other UK trade show.  The event provides unique One2One business partnering between UK and pre-selected international companies to match potential investors, deal makers or partners.  The event also showcases the best of UK innovation in technology.

2010 A great success

Prior to 2010 there were two separate events:

Technology World

The Technology World brand was launched in 2005, though the event was first held in 2003 as a series of informal inward mission meetings in Cambridge.  By 2008 the show had grown significantly and was moved to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry and then to ExCeL, London in 2010.

UK Nano & Emerging Technologies Forum

This event was created to provide a UK alternative to the world renowned Nano Tech Expo in Tokyo. The UK event, launched in 2006, gained a consistent following and grew year-on-year.  In 2010 this show was incorporated within Technology World for the first time.

Launch of TechWorld

In 2010 the show was renamed as Technology World in partnership with UK Nano Forum and for 2011 the title has been changed to TechWorld. The event retains its position as the premier business to business meeting in the UK technology events calendar.
