2010 University Excellence Competition Winners
1st Place - University of Glasgow 
Poster title: Plasmonic Optical Elements for Digital Imaging.
This poster identified the needs amongst potential end-users. It represented advanced optoelectronic concepts and was an excellent illustration of the use and applications of nano-optics. The representative was also excellent in his explanation of the technology and physics.

2nd Place - Southampton University 
Poster title: Supercritical Fluid Thermal and Electrodeposition for Micro and Nanotechnology.
This is a very novel enabling technology and the poster gave a very balanced amount of detail. It is a great example of the advances that can be made with a multi-disciplinary team.

3rd Place - Imperial College  
Poster title: Fundamental Processes in Plastic Photovoltaics: Towards Design Rules for Organic Semiconductors.
This represented a superb team effort in a potentially critically important area.
